Self-Havening for Self-Soothing and Self-Healing (Dr. Gwendolyn Atwood)
Time & Location
About the Event
Would you like to know how to bring yourself into a more relaxed and peaceful state when you’re upset about something you’re feeling, even while you’re still engaged with others? Would you like to be able to soothe yourself even if you can’t focus on your breathing, take a walk or close your eyes to meditate?
In this workshop, I’ll briefly introduce Havening and show self-Havening touch for self-soothing and healing. Then we’ll do some self-Havening together in the group. Like its older cousin the Emotional Freedom Technique (aka “tapping”), self-Havening is reliably restorative, great for navigating these intense times. Havening promotes shifting from “negative” emotional states to gifting yourself with more inner peace. You’ll take simple self-Havening touch with you from our meeting so you can continue to experiment with it on your own.
Self-Havening is one of the Havening techniques that comprise a powerful new psychosensory modality for treating anxiety, depression, phobias, pain, work-related stress, trauma and more. For such issues, it’s best to work with a certified Havening practitioner.
